Hi!   I'm Sandy — mom of 5, lover of all things glittery and the person behind every piece that comes out of Simply Sandy Designs.

Art's always been part of my story.  I never made it to the Chicago Art Institute like I planned — instead I married my high school sweetheart and went where the Air Force sent us. 

Along the way, I built a career in healthcare while raising 4 amazing boys. When my husband retired, we swapped military moves for country life in Benton, LA — and our family grew by one more when we adopted our daughter.

Then COVID shut the world down — and in all that sudden stillness, something I'd set aside years before found its way back to me: I missed creating.

I bought a laser cutter and started making things again. One project led to another, ideas turned into orders, and Simply Sandy Designs grew into a full-time business.

Today, my home studio holds two laser cutters, two 3D printers, and a whole lot of glitter. Most days end with a little sawdust on my hands and another idea scribbled on a scrap of paper.

I create for people who, like me, are juggling a hundred things but still believe the little details matter — the perfect gift, something made especially for someone you love, or something that simply makes you smile.
